The course's flight profiles and interactive decision-making scenarios quickly help you understand how volunteer flying demands professionalism and responsibility—far beyond that of a leisurely personal flight. Pilots for Christ International encourages all licensed pilots to complete a Flight Risk Assessment before every flight.  Information listed above & below, is here to help you with that effort!
  • Illness - Is the pilot suffering from any illness or symptom of an illness which might affect them in flight,
  • Medication - Is the pilot currently taking any drugs (prescription or over-the-counter),
  • Stress - Psychological or emotional factors which might affect the pilot's performance,
  • Alcohol - Although legal limits vary by jurisdiction (20 mg/mL blood in the UK[2], four times less than for driving), the pilot might want to consider their alcohol consumption within the last 8 to 24 hours,
  • Fatigue - Has the pilot had sufficient sleep and rest in the recent past, and
  • Emotion - Is the pilot emotionally upset.

We urge all pilots, whenever they fly cross country, or to another airport:

and be sure to cancel the flight plan upon arrival at your destination!

Pilot's for Christ International, Inc. is a membership organization that posts public requests, for consideration by our member pilot's and non-pilot's regarding volunteer urgent travel opportunities.  The decision to accept and provide travel assistance, by yourself is an individual matter between yourself and the person(s), requesting travel.  Pilot's for Christ International, Inc. offers communication, (contact, urgency of request and indemnity waiver) assistance, only, between the requester and yourself as a pilot or non-pilot.  You must always abide by all Federal, State and local legal requirements for operating your aircraft, and/or automobile.  The requirement to meet these licensed operating regulations is strictly your responsiblitiy, and is not the responsibility of Pilots for Christ International, Inc.   As a pilot or non-pilot you are not required to be a commercial or professional individual and you are not required to meet the same standards.  You are  a private individual volunteering your aircraft, and/or automobile and time to help all those in need of urgent transportation, within the scope of your licensed abilities.   Insurance requirements are your responsibility and not that of Pilots for Christ International, Inc., and we do not provide travel "Indemnity" insurance. Pilot's for Christ International, Inc. makes no decisions as to the "Go" or "No Go" of  requested travel, accepted by you, as these decisions are strictly made by yourself.   An "Indemnity Waiver", relieving Pilot's for Christ International, Inc. of any travel indemnity (responsibility), must be signed by all parties requesting travel, through Pilot's for Christ International, Inc.,  before travel is provided by yourself.
